ASUS C200MA-EDU-4GB Reviews

The battery life on mine is completely ludicrous. I can go 10-11 with hours easily very high screen brightness if I’m not doing anything super intensive like watching internet streams. I imagine I could do ~7-8 hours of watching streams. At this price point, that kind of battery life is astounding.

Crouton is really only something you’re going to want to play with if you need something like FileZilla for FTP connections, higher power image editors than you can get on Chrome OS, etc. I tried it out on my old Chromebook and all the time I spent doing it and then trying to reverse it, I can’t recommend it unless you have an i3/i5 Chromebook that can really make use of it. (Also ARM books like the ones we’re talking about can’t run everything in Linux because not all apps have ARM versions available.)

In Chrome OS, this little Rockchip processor is only a tiny hair slower than some of the Intel machines- it feels quite speedy.

If I can give you any advice at all regarding buying a Chromebook- Don’t sweat the processor. Sweat the RAM.
